I’m thinking about debadging the rear and buying the led thing to make the angle eyes not yellow anymore.

Oh and I have to get my head unit wired in to I can do the sound system. Don’t judge me.

Looks very nice. I love these metallic blues from BMW and Renault, the light really sets it off and the colour takes on a life of its own.

When’s your tour in Baumholder up? Are you taking the car back stateside.

Though temporary. Have a look at some licence plate adhesive pads or licence plate holders as the licence plate will start to rub where it meets the lower lip on the tailgate.

I have the brackets for the Euro plates so hopefully they mount up ok. I have another year at least and yea it’s coming home with us for sure

The 1-series really cleans up well. Future classic indeed.

Good luck. If not you should easily find some U.S. to Euro licence brackets.

I should imagine it will meet all the U.S. requirements though I think the engine timing may need to be advanced or retarded to allow for the difference in octane levels in the fuel. But don’t quote me on that, I’m not exactly up on fuel types and levels in the U.S.

I’ve even gotten used to the excessively happy face :)

It shouldn’t need anything honestly. It’s a us spec car that was made for military sales over here, it just never left with the original owner.

Nice. Looks well optioned. I always liked these, they seem a bit overshadowed by the 1M though.

Awesome car! Also, I wish every car could have quarter windows like the 1 series.

Man, that is a nice ride. Must be nice to get stationed in western Europe. They don’t let marines do that stuff typically.

Nice ride. I did the LED angel eyes on mine, highly recommended. Only problem is if your DRL’s are halogen, then they look yellow.

Luckily the drls are white. I have no idea who at bmw decided that it was acceptable to have different colors in the headlights but it’s an easy fix at least.

You’re right up in my neck of the woods, plenty of amazing roads to be driving in the Rheinland-Pfalz.

That exit being closed actually screwed me yesterday, I had to go all the way down to Birkenfeld and turn around. But yes, there are tons and tons of excellent roads all around. I end up taking the FiST out to drive a couple times a week, I did a 45 mile loop the other day and it was a blast.
